以“贵族精神”赴一场筑梦之约

一封信

亲爱的兄弟姐妹们新年好：

时光荏苒，转眼又是一年，明天我们将迎来崭新的2020年，回首，法国VP建筑设计事务所在中国已经走过了15个年头，如同一个孩子成长到15岁，到了一个充满激情和梦想的年纪，是一个正青春的季节，借此机会我很想跟大家分享一下近些年的心路历程。

2019年对于法国VP来说，最大的收获莫过于创下“八项世界之最”的深圳国际会展中心竣工落成及正式投入使用。深圳国际会展中心项目的成功设计，为VP赢得了业界声誉和口碑，但这背后离不开的是从设计方案中标后三年以来，团队成员夜以继日、不计得失的辛苦付出，甚至有的同事牺牲掉陪伴家人的时间长期异地驻场，认真把关每一个建筑细节。当然，也有团队成员项目已经做完了，却还没有时间和机会去深圳看看最终完成的设计作品……在这里我想感谢每一位参与过深圳国际会展中心设计建设的同事、伙伴，优秀的建筑设计离不开团队的通力合作，我由衷地感谢每一位参与者。

2019年对于法国VP来说，更是实现了从量变到质变的跃升。海口市国际免税城项目已于今年3月全面开工建设，建成后将成为国内最大的免税商业项目；南京空港会展小镇项目核心会展综合体一期1-4号展馆也已如期封顶，该项目是全国首个提出“小镇”概念的会展项目，是国内首个“会展+”主题特色小镇；国家会议中心二期项目室内设计方案目前已在研究设计阶段等等，各项目都在稳步推进中。之所以能够拿到这些重大工程和重点项目，都是这些年VP整个团队对项目精益求精、守匠心重品质、踏实努力和共同奋斗的结果。我们不断地迎接各种挑战，化解各种危机，在理念碰撞中创新，在反复磨练中成长，打造了一支专业化的设计管理团队，于我而言团队中的每个人都是公司最宝贵的财富，感谢大家陪伴VP中国一同成长。

送走2019，迎来2020，身处在建筑设计行业，我们正经历着前所未有的机遇和挑战，在竞争日益激烈的市场环境下，建筑行业经过“野蛮生长”步入“洗牌期”，整个行业在设计理念、技术手段、商业模式等方面也在逐步进行转型升级。VP中国要继续保持现在良好的势头，同时，在设计水平和项目管理水平上要再上一个新台阶，要永远坚持和追求品质至上，并且不断提高企业运营效率和管理质量。在新的一年，所有同事都要练好内功，同舟共济，做好打硬仗、啃硬骨头的准备。

我们是一家有着近40年历史的法国顶级的建筑设计事务所，提到欧洲常有人讲到“贵族精神”，贵族精神是骑士精神，勇敢担当，严于自律，还有自由的灵魂和独立的意志，以及对国家和社会拥有的强烈责任感，这些特质对于我们建筑师来说必不可少，如同中国的“工匠精神”，会时刻提醒我们不能降低对自己对品质的追求。我曾经在一个建筑论坛说过：建筑师像一个造梦人，我们应该对自己的设计有极致的追求和纯粹的信仰，同时，对行业也要有敬畏之心，要不断探索、挑战，反复思考、研究，要有国际化的视野和开放包容的心态，这样才能真正对得起建筑师这个平凡而伟大的职业。

最后，祝愿所有的兄弟姐妹们和家人在新的一年里身体健康，阖家幸福，万事如意！

A letter from Song Guohong to the staff of Valode & Pistre architectes in China

Dear all，

Time flies, one year has passed again. Tomorrow we will walk in a brand-new year---2020. Look back，Valode & Pistre architectes (VP) has been 15 years in China, just like a child growing up to 15 years old, reaching an age full of passion and dreams, which is a season of youth. I'd like to take this opportunity to share with you about my journey in recent years.

For Valode & Pistre architectes in the past 2019, the biggest harvest is the completion and official opening of Shenzhen World Exhibition & Convention Center, which has achieved "Eight world records ".The successful design of Shenzhen World Exhibition & Convention Center project has won a good reputation and public praise. But what's behind this is that since the winning of the design scheme three years ago, team members have been working hard day and night, regardless of gains and losses, and even some colleagues have sacrificed their time with their families to stay in the construction site for a long time, carefully check every architectural detail....Here I would like to extend my thanks for every colleague and partner who participated in the design work of Shenzhen World Exhibition & Convention Center. Excellent architectural design cannot be achieved without the full cooperation of the team. I sincerely thank for every participants.

For Valode & Pistre architectes in 2019, it is a leap from quantitative change to qualitative change.  Haikou International Duty Free Commercial project, which will become the largest duty free commercial project in China, started construction in March this year. Exhibition hall 1-4, phase I of the core exhibition complex of Nanjing exhibition town project, has been completed as scheduled. This project is the first exhibition project with the concept of "small town" and the first "exhibition +" themed town in China. The interior design scheme of National Convention Center Phase II is now in the research and design stage, etc., and all projects are steadily advancing. The reason why we can get these major projects and key projects is that the whole VP team keeps improving on the projects, adheres to the craftsmanship, values the quality, works hard and works together in these years. We constantly meet all kinds of challenges, resolve all kinds of crises, innovate in the collision of ideas, grow through repeated training, and build a professional design management team. For me, everyone in the team is the most valuable wealth of the company. Thank you for growing up with VP China.

Off 2019, into 2020, in the architectural design industry, we are experiencing unprecedented opportunities and challenges, in the increasingly competitive market environment, the industry through "savage growth" into "reshuffle" period, the whole industry in the aspects such as design concept, technology, business model are also gradually to carry on the transformation and upgrading. VP China should continue to maintain the current strength, at the same time, in the design level and project management level to a new level, always adhere to and pursue quality first, and constantly improve the operation efficiency and management quality of the enterprise. In the new year, all colleagues should practice personal skills, work together and be prepared to fight hard battles.

We are a top French architectural design firm with a history of nearly 40 years. Referring to Europe, people often talk about "noble spirit", it is "Knight spirit" which is bravery, strictself-discipline, free soul and independent will, as well as a strong sense of responsibility for the country and society. These characteristics are essential for our architects, just like the "craftsman spirit" of China,which will remind us that we cannot lower our pursuit of quality. I once said that architects like dream makers, we should have the ultimate pursuit of our own design and faith, also should have the respect of the industry, to continuously explore and challenge, repeatedly thinking,research, must have the international perspective and open inclusive mentality. Only in this way can we truly be  great professional architects.
