SJYP曾多次与StudioUnravel合作,这一次,他们决定用一场展示来代替2018年夏秋时装发布会。这次的活动对StudioUnravel较特别且有意义,因为活动举行的地方是我们在2015年设计的空间(StudioConcrete)。最初的概念是用低成本的工业材料制作大型物件,但随着概念的发展,我们开始设计艺术作品,让空间看起来像一个仓库。所有的基本形象都是手绘的,超过一半的最终作品是在安装过程中现场自发完成的。我们提前准备和研究了各种材料,然后只安装了选择和必要的元素。
SJYP has collaborated with Studio Unravel on multiple occasions,and this time around,they decided to replace their 2018 Summer/Pre-Fall fashion show with a presentation,nviting Studio Unravel to participate,The presentation was all the more meaningful in that it was held at Studio Concrete,a spaced designed by us in 2015.The initial concept was to make large-scale objects out of low-cost industrial materials,but as the concept developed,we came to design artworks that would make the space look like a warehouse.All of the basic images were hand-sketched and more than half of the final artworks were spontaneously made on-site during installation.We prepped and researched diverse materials in advance,then installed only select and necessary elements.

所有的材料都是在仓库实际使用的材料,作品的主题与我们之前为SJYP2017春夏系列所作的主题一脉相承。我们使用了蓝色的泡沫塑料装饰了他们的陈列窗,我们当时对主题的部分解释如下:堆积如山的蓝色岩石,在公众面前显得神秘,带来不寻常的体验。参观者被吸引来从近距离或从远处观察,试图了解这个事物。SJYP的蓝宝石碎片向观众传达的信息是当代艺术的观点,反映了品牌的本体性,通过裸露的形象向观众传达了更加强烈的信息。这是一种抽象的、伤感的、强烈的余韵留在心中。为了寻找与SJYP的关联,参观者将通过SJYP寻找“Pataphysical”之谜。这是一种“Pataphysique”的意象语言,它不在于表现什么,而在于通过感受什么来接近什么。
All the materials were materials actually used in warehouses, and the theme of the work remained coherent to our previous work for SJYP’s 2017 Spring/Summer collection—we used blue styrofoam to decorate their display window, the theme of which we partially explained at the time as follows:
“Pieces of unidentifiable blue rocks are bluntly placed,presenting the viewers with an nonideal situation.People pay attention,either close up or from a distance,finding themselves in the irony of trying to identify the objects,wondering what the objects are implying. Endowed with the signature blue color emblematic of SJYP,the rock fragments represent the brand’s identity inside the context of contemporary art,delivering a more powerful message.It leaves an abstract yet vivid sentimental resonance in the viewer,who then attempts to define its relation to SJYP and ends up discovering the answer to the pataphysical riddle through the brand itself.It speaks the language of pataphysics,presenting a feeling instead of a visual as an exceptional approach.”

当时基于”Pataphysique”的概念完成了艺术作品,这次的展示计划与之前的工作也是相连接的,因为它让熟悉的材料变得陌生。
Our work at the time was based on the idea of pataphysics,and our presentation project correlates to this previous work in that it defamiliarizes a familiar material.
